British electricity is 220/240 volts 50 Hz. The plugs are a British model with three flat pins.
You can normally borrow a adapter in your hotel or you can buy one at the airport or in travel shops in town.
If your voltage back home is anything other than 220/240 volts you will also need to use a converter.
